Southern California Edison and RMC Constructors select Sunwest Electric, Inc.
Southern California Edison (SCE) moved their Air Operations Facility to Chino Airport and RMC Constructors and SCE selected Sunwest Electric, Inc. SCE is one of the largest electric utilities in California, serving more than 14 million people in a 50,000 square-mile area of central, coastal and Southern California. This near 50,000 square foot facility was constructed to house Southern California Edison (SCE) Aircraft Operations Fleet. The project consists of 1200 amps of power that was fully backed up via a 1000Kva stand by diesel generator set. There are two fire pumps, one for stand by and another for back up. There was also a foam suppression system for the Hangar and extensive maintenance equipment connections such as bridge cranes and overhead cranes as well as outlets for welding and normal maintenance equipment. They also installed a state-of-the-art energy management system that reported the usage of all devices right down to the convenience receptacles. An aircraft grounding receptacle system was installed throughout the Hanger facility. Sunwest Electric, Inc. has now completed several projects for SCE which include their service center in Wildomar and Innovation Village in Pomona, CA. Sunwest Electric, Inc. has also worked with the SCE Savings by Design teams at SCE and has several projects that have been given awards by SCE for their KWH savings. We value our relationship with the Builders and SCE project Manager teams that we have been involved with and look forward to many more rewarding projects with a team of professionals.
